Cover Letter Writing
A letter written for one job, not one hundred
Send us the posting. We write against that specific role, matched to the tone of your resume, and back in 2 to 4 business days.
From $89 for a single letter. Cheapest thing we sell, and often the fastest win.

How much does a professional cover letter cost?
A growpose cover letter costs $89 for one, $149 for a targeted pair with a reusable template, and $199 for a set of three plus a LinkedIn outreach message. Each letter is written against a specific job posting you send us and matched to the tone of your resume. Delivery is 2 to 4 business days.

Why most get skipped
A hiring manager can spot a template in one line
Most cover letters open by naming the role and saying the writer is excited about it. That sentence carries no information, so the reader stops. The rest of the letter then repeats the resume they are about to read anyway.
A letter earns its place by saying something the resume cannot: why this specific move makes sense, what you would do first, or how you closed a gap the posting is worried about.
Anatomy of a letter that gets read
Four paragraphs, each doing one job

1. The opening
One specific reason you are writing. Never the role title and the word excited.
2. The fit
What in the posting maps to what you have done. Named, not implied.
3. The proof
One story with a number in it. This is the paragraph people remember.
4. The close
Short, direct, no apologising for taking their time.
What we need from you
Three things, and none of them take long. The more specific the posting, the better the letter.
The job posting
A link or a paste. We write against what it actually asks for rather than the job title.
Your resume
So the letter extends it instead of repeating it, and so the tone matches.
One sentence on why
Why this role, in your own words, however rough. It usually becomes the opening.
Cover letter pricing
Buy one when a role really matters. Buy three if you are applying at volume.

When you need a letter, and when you do not
We would rather you spent the money where it changes something.
- Worth it when the posting asks for one, when you are changing industry, or when there is a gap or a jump that needs explaining
- Worth it when you are applying to a small number of roles you actually want
- Skip it when the application form makes it optional and you are applying at high volume
- Fix the resume first if your resume is the thing not converting. A letter will not rescue it

Cover letter questions
How much does a cover letter cost?
At growpose, $89 for one, $149 for a targeted pair and $199 for a set of three. The set works out at roughly $66 per letter.
Do cover letters still matter in 2026?
For high-volume applications, often not. For roles where you are a non-obvious candidate, changing industry, or explaining a gap, they matter a great deal, because that is context a resume cannot carry.
How long should a cover letter be?
Four short paragraphs on one page. Anything longer stops being read. We write to that length rather than filling a page.
Can I reuse the letter for other applications?
The Targeted Pair and Set of Three include a reusable master template with guidance on exactly which parts to swap per application. A single letter is written for one posting.
Do I need a resume from growpose first?
No. Send whatever resume you have and we will match the letter to it. If your resume is the weaker document we will say so rather than sell you a letter.
What if the job posting is vague?
We research the company and the role type and write to what the work actually involves. Vague postings are common and are usually a reason to write a letter rather than skip one.
Send the posting. Get a letter worth reading.
